Ivo the orphan, together with the Hag of Dribble, Ulf the Troll, and Brian the Wizard, sets out to save Princess Mirella from the dreaded Ogre of Oglefort. And the Ogre isn't nearly the fearsome creature he once was--in fact, he's rather depressed. But when the rescuers arrive at the castle, they are shocked to find that the princess doesn't want to be saved; she wants the ogre to turn her into a bird so she can escape an arranged marriage. Now the rescuers have a new goal: save Princess Mirella from her tyrannical royal family and help restore the Ogre and his castle to the fearsome (but fun) paradise it used to be.

Not worth the price. I am forever grateful for this insight. I can't push it into your arms fast enough. In this sense it's a good update.Probably the author had to decide between waiting more and revamp an important part of the book, or publish this edition with no major updates or changes. The book is still a good companion so buy it if it's not in your library. As with any book, just be cautious about the author's own flaws, particularly how his political ideals may affect his interpretation of data (both Scriptural and Scientific). One last word of caution: About halfway (or earlier) through the book you will feel overwhelmed. I fully understand that in economic history, cause and effect can be difficult to trace, and it's not always obvious, even many years later, why exactly events transpired as they did. This presents a two-pronged problem:Those who are in the most need of this book are probably the more conservative, fundamentalist types who will automatically use Thompson's weakness in this area as an excuse to ignore the rest of his mostly excellent ideas. It's easy to cheer for her.The magical
